was a communications-wire man for the Marine artillery battery
"K-4-12" at Camp Carroll in Vietnam from March 1967
to March 1968. Camp Carroll was a fire base in the DMZ, and near
the Mountainard village of Cam Lo. Kilo Battery-4th Battalion-12th
Marines, 3rd Marine Division consisted of (7) 155mm cannons on
self propelled track vehicles and provided artillery support
to the "Rock Pile" and Khe Sanh.
