Frank Giroux ***U.S. Navy *** 1915 to 1935

 

Frank had 16 years of service with the Navy and retired in 1931 as a Chief Petty Officer. However, he was recalled by Rear Admiral Richard Byrd in 1933 to serve upon his flagship the Jacob Ruppert as Chief Machinist's Mate accompanying him on his Antarctic Expedition II from 1933-1935.
