served in Vietnam from September 1969 to 1970 with the 1st Cavalry,
2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry, Bravo Company, "Black Foot Platoon."
Fielding out of Phouc Vinh and later Tay Ninh, he hefted the
M-60 machine through places such as Bu Dop, Quan Loi, Bong Swa,
Pho Loi and other Landing Zones,(LZ's) In July 1970 while on
a incursion into Cambodia they discovered and captured an incredible
"City" of stored weapons.
