E. Fox 38th Parallel, S. Korea. 1954-1957
Larry was part of Company-K, 21st Infantry
Regiment of the 24th Infantry Division that relieved the Marines
35 miles north of Seoul on the 38th Parallel DMZ from 1955-1956.
Tensions in this cold and barren local were only heighten by
many uncharted land mines in the surrounding perimeter and countryside.
Of unique interest are the era USO entertainers such as the "The
Nappy Lamare Orchestra" or "The Lee Maxfield Orchestra
and their acts." Any information on these entertainers would
be appreciated.
